Course Description
This course is designed for students who have completed basic Mandarin 1&2. Students will be introduced to the rules of stress in two or more syllables, easy Mandarin characters, vocabularies and grammar (additional 75 new words). By the end of this course, students will be able to talk about travelling, habits, colours and the distance. Beside students will be exposed to the usage of imperative and emphasis sentence in Mandarin.

Course Outcome
Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:
- Identify the stressed syllables and the rules of stress in two or more syllables.
- Produce complete Mandarin sentences that are often used in daily life.
- Write simple phrases and sentences using simple Chinese characters with the use of Hanyu Pinyin when necessary.
