Green Economy Webinar 2021

   

The Green Economy Webinar 2021 was successfully carried out on 25 June 2021. The webinar objective was to provide a platform for dissemination of knowledge, opportunities, experiences, and expert point of view pertaining to green economy to all students of UCS3312 Green Technology semester 2, 2020/2021. On top of that, the speaker for this webinar was non other than Ts Dr Al Amin bin Mohamed Sultan. There were 130 students joined the webinar. 

The summary of the webinar are as follow:

Green Technology is vital for sustainable development to meet the needs of the present generation without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs. Development of green and sustainable technologies enable significant savings in the use of energy and materials, substituting the use of non-renewable, non-biodegradable or extractive resources to renewable, biodegradable and/or restorative inputs and reducing or preventing emissions, contamination and negative environmental impacts. The Green Economy Webinar 2021 introduces students to the definition, principles and theories of green economy. The speaker also explained in detail the roles of a country’s economy towards creating a green and sustainable world for the people of the country.
