Stand Out and Land the Job! Webinar was successfully carried out on 8 December 2021, with the objectives of preparing and equipping UTS students with essential information and skills necessary to land the job that they want. The webinar was open to all students who are currently taking the subject UCS3112 Communication in the Workplace and all interested students/alumni. In today’s competitive world, it is important for college and university graduates who wish to enter the job market and secure a good job to have a competitive advantage that will separate them from the competition. Other than having excellent skills sets, knowledge and experience, one of the ways for graduates to stand out from the crowd is through effective and engaging job interview skills that make an impact on a potential employer. Madam Sally Shirlyna Mejeni was invited as a speaker for the webinar. As a Senior Executive (Human Resources) in Sarawak Energy Berhad, the largest employer of professional Sarawak talent, Mdm Sally shared the importance of excellent job interview skills from the perspective of a hiring staff. She also shared the four (4) important things an employer look for in a good job candidate: 1) capacity; 2) achievement; 3) relationship; and 4) adaptability. The Q&A session also saw active interaction between the speaker and participants as the students have many burning questions to ask the speaker.
