Wednesday, 10th August 2022- University of Technology Sarawak received a benchmarking visit from Politeknik Kuching Sarawak and held a sharing session in the UTS Senate Room. Puan Sharifah Khuzaimah Binti Wan Yusup, Lecturer at Politeknik Kuching Sarawak (Jabatan Pengajian Am), led the delegation of ten lecturers, who were warmly received by Dr. Thomas Moh Shan Yau, Director of Centre of University Courses, and Innovative Learning (UCiL). The purpose of this benchmarking visit was to share experience in developing, managing, and implementing accreditation and E-Learning system functions.
Puan Nurzalikha Binti Sa’idi from UTS shared the policies related to online learning. Besides, Mr. Maximus Balla Tang shared the UTS online learning tools. The online learning tools compliment the teaching and learning process of online learning. During the benchmarking visit, ideas and views were shared between Politeknik Kuching Sarawak and the University of Technology Sarawak to improve and strengthen the implementation of Online Learning and system functions for the benefit of education and students. The benchmarking visit was followed by a campus tour. The campus tour was led by UCiL director and lecturers. It is hoped that the visit would spark further collaboration between the two parties.
