Centre for University Courses and Innovative Learning (UCIL)

The centre was first established as University Courses Services Centre (UCSC) in April 2016 with the main task of managing all common University Courses in order to fulfil the requirements of the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) in which all Malaysian and International students must complete and pass the General Studies Subject (Mata Pelajaran Pengajian Umum or MPU) and University Compulsory Subjects (UCS) as a pre-requisite for the award of certificate, diploma, or undergraduate degree.

The centre was then renamed Centre for University Courses and Innovative Learning (or as it is fondly called, UCIL) in order to integrate the centre’s additional roles and responsibilities in initiating, coordinating, managing, and continuously improving the current methodology, pedagogy, and state-of-the-arts technological learning ecosystem in enhancing teaching and maximising effective learning experience for all learners in both conventional and digital learning modes.
